1.       Apologies received from Rod Smith, John Bulmer

2.       Minutes of Meeting of 1 October 2012 were approved

3.       Station Project  PW reported on the  meeting that he, RS, RK & MP had with Fiona Fortune(Funding Officer), Judith Karena (Museum Officer) and Tom Brettell (Regeneration Officer Bridgnorth) on the 10th October 2012.  The meeting had been very positive and actions had been agreed for the next meeting.  Unfortunately the date agreed for the next meeting with Fiona Fortune and colleagues has now been cancelled by her and a new date to be arranged.

4.       Village Entrance Scheme

a)       JB via PW has requested volunteers to weed the flower beds at the end of Patshull Road – this to be done on Thursday 8 November.

b)      PW said that he and RS were going to attend a meeting with Boningale PC to try and resolve the issue over these beds following a letter which had been sent to all the residents of Boningale by their PC asking what should be done with these beds.  Their Chairman, David Thomas is very supportive of the work that is being done by ADCS, it was felt that it would be a very good idea to ask him to join ADCS as an ex officio member to represent Boningale.                                                                                                              PW

c)       MP mentioned an article that was in the November Parish Magazine about St Chad’s, Boningale requesting help with their annual tidy-up on 10 November, he said he would help, hoping to spread some goodwill and asked anyone else who was able to join him.

d)      MP was asked to email JB regarding the planned tidy-up at Kingswood Road/A41 on 1 December, asking for more information on availability of strimmers and debris removal.                                                                                                                                                     MP

e)      MP said that in future any schemes that needed on-going maintenance should be thoroughly thought through and planned maintenance should be agreed.

5.       Planters  PW to arrange a meeting with RK, JB & MP to progress this scheme.                     PW

6.       Street Scene  it was agreed to ask Steve Brown to attend the next committee meeting or to give us a date when he could attend to discuss ongoing issues with the lack of maintenance.  It was felt best to leave any contact with the Press until the Spring.                              PW RS

7.       Village Plan  RK suggested that we all complete our questionnaires to include the suggestion of amalgamating the two local Parish Councils.

8.       New Committee Member  Sarah Baker was to be asked to attend the next Committee Meeting to see its workings with a view to co-opting her on.                                                                MP

9.       AGM 2012  The matter of payment for the hire of The Red House and claim for damage to the lounge door to be resolved between PW & Hugh Kirton.                                                    PW

10.   Any Other Business

a)      Village Precept RK pointed out that the precept that Albrighton receives is much lower than Shifnal.  DB said that this was because Albrighton had not requested more money for suitable projects.  Both he and Malcolm Pate said that if anyone including ADCS had any such ideas they should be put to the PC for discussion before the end of November and that this applies every year.

b)      Patshull Road/Cross Road Pool  RK said the Nature Reserve had been asked to take on the responsibility for this area but had declined.  DB said this land is still owned by SC and that Albrighton PC is and would continue to be responsible for this land.  They are currently trying to recruit a replacement member of staff to carry out various maintenance duties which would include this.

c)       Crown Car Park  PW to write to Albrighton PC asking them what progress is being made regarding this ongoing issue with the very poor state of repair of the car park.          PW

d)      Village Sign Society PL  suggested that ADCS might instigate a project/competition to design a sign for Albrighton which could be erected on the Village green.
